Amazon was selling it for about $70 cheaper than retail so I couldn't resist. I didn't realize how important it was until I got to shoot with it this weekend. Holy crap! The flash should have been the FIRST thing I bought for my camera. I went with the SB 600 which works great with the d70s. I can even use it as a wireless flash!

We happened to be in the Dunseith area on Saturday so we stopped by San Haven. For those that don't know what it is, it's a condemned medical facility opened in the late 30's I believe. It was a tuberculosis sanatorium until the late 60's. At that point it was converted to an institute for the mentally handicapped. In the late 80's the state of North Dakota shut it down for patient abuse and over poor conditions. It's on just about every list of haunted places in the US I have seen. We did quite a bit of exploring/trespassing. Unfortunately we weren't supposed to be there, but what can you do right? It was pretty creepy seeing the old solitary confinement cells in the basement. We tried ot get tot he morgue, but a lot of the lower levels were flooded.

In other news...I get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow morning
